  • Keep with the apple-themed menu by serving apple cider or a complementary apple wine that may be served cold or hot
  • To pair traditional wines with your menu, consider rich white wines such as California Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc or Gewurztraminer. If your guests prefer red wines, consider a lighter variety such as Beaujolais or Pinot Noir

Décor and Atmosphere
  • Set the scene outside with apple votive holders bobbing in a large steel tub on the front or back porch. You might feature a couple of these candleholders on the table as well
  • Tie a bundle of orange, gold, or red flowers with ribbon along with a couple of cinnamon sticks and tie to the back of each chair
  • For a buffet, create silverware bundles wrapped with napkins, finish with a cinnamon stick and keep it all together with a red, orange, or gold ribbon
  • If you live in an area with colorful leaves, pick a few to scatter in the center of your table and place several whole apples on top of them, or string a large bunch together using a needle and fishing line to hang from your chandelier
  •  Create a centerpiece using the bountiful harvest of autumn as with these ideas—
    • Fill three large, clear vase cylinders with gold and red apples, and if you like, cinnamon sticks
    • For a flower arrangement centerpiece, keep it simple by placing each flower variety in a small vase and then pushing all of the vases together to appear as one large arrangement
    • Place a large, unscented candle in the center of a grapevine wreath (available at most craft stores), and fill in the remaining space with apples
