Spicy Tomato Sauce

6-8 servings Ingredients:
3 tablespoons Plugrá® European-Style Butter, unsalted, softened
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup white onion, minced
1 tablespoon basil, chiffonade/shaved
1 teaspoon oregano
2 hot peppers
1 12 ounce can plum tomatoes, crushed or whole
1/4 cup white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Heat saucepan and add Plugrá Butter and oil.
2. Sauté garlic, onion, basil, oregano and hot peppers for 5 minutes.
3. Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes.
4. Add wine and reduce for 10 minutes.
5. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 30-40 minutes.
6. Adjust seasonings and spice with additional salt and pepper.
