Figgy Brown Butter Sauce

Ingredients: 

1/3 cup dried figs, finely chopped
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup Plugrá® European-Style Butter, unsalted
1/4 cup shallots, minced
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 teaspoons orange zest

Directions: 

1. In a small saucepan, cook figs and wine over medium heat until figs have absorbed the wine, about 5 minutes.
2. Melt the Plugrá Butter over medium-low heat in a medium skillet; add the shallots, syrup and salt.
3. Stir often until shallots are caramelized and the butter begins to brown, about 15 minutes.
4. Stir in fig mixture and zest and keep warm until serving.
