Dark Chocolate Orange Butter
1/2 pound Plugrá® European-Style Butter, unsalted, softened
1 1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon espresso powder, instant
2 tablespoons orange liqueur
1 teaspoon orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 tablespoon orange zest, fresh
4 ounces dark chocolate chips
1. Whip Plugrá Butter until smooth and light. Whip in sugar, espresso powder, orange liqueur and orange juice until smooth and light. (Butter may tighten at first.)
2. Place chocolate chips in a small nonmetal mixing bowl and place in the microwave. Melt chips on medium to medium-high power for 45 seconds and stir until chips are completely melted.
3. Add chocolate and orange zest to butter and stir until completely combined.
4. Shape into two logs of equal size using parchment or wax paper. Refrigerate until firm (about 2 hours), slice into thin rounds as needed or transfer to plastic wrap to store. Optional serving in a bowl and storage in an airtight container.
